10/11/2017 - South Hardin has just one game to go in the 2017 football season, and in their final week of the regular season, the Tigers are playing two games. The first is in the books, after falling 48-0 to West Marshall on Monday night. The Trojans went into the halftime break up 32-0 and began the second half with an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The game was postponed from Friday night, and head coach Nick Eller says playing on Monday evening was not their first choice.
The Tigers managed 116 yards of offense against West Marshall, dropping to 1-7 for the season. The turnaround this week is a short one, as South Hardin gets set for one last game against Roland-Story. The matchup will be an interesting one for Eller, who had been an assistant coach for the Norsemen before coming back to take over South Hardin’s program. Eller says even though his group is out of the playoff hunt, they still have a chance to affect the 2A postseason race.
Friday’s game is Senior Night for South Hardin, as Eller’s group says its good-byes to 10 seniors. The opening kick at Tiger Field is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
