Community Calendar

The Community Calendar is a free service for all non-profit groups, organizations, churches, and schools. The Community Calendar can be heard Monday-Friday at 10:30 a.m. on 104.9 KLMJ-FM and 98.9 KQCR-FM. If you have an event you would like posted on the Community Calendar please send it to: KLMJ/KQCR; P.O. Box 495; Hampton, IA 50441, or fax your information to (641) 456-5655. You can also e-mail radio@radioonthego.com. Please have the information for your meeting or event submitted one week in advance. Items submitted to the Community Calendar air one day before the event and the day of the event on both KLMJ and KQCR. Ackley citywide garage sales will be held Saturday.



Grundy Center citywide garage sales will be held Saturday.



Greene City wide garage sales will be held Saturday.



The Hampton Compost and Brush Site will be open weather permitting Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.



The Greene Food Bank will be open Saturday 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the former Old Greene City Hall.



The Clarion Farmer's Market will be open Saturday 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the Courthouse lawn in Clarion.



The Geneva Market will be open Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Geneva School Auditorium.



The Belmond Area Farmer's Market will be open Saturday, 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Main Street.



A craft and vendor sale will be held Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. as a fundraiser for La Luz Hispana, at the United Methodist Church in Hampton.



The Reinbeck Fine Art & Craft Festival will be held Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in downtown Reinbeck.



The Shell Rock Historical Museum will be open Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.



The St. Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Belmond will hold a craft and bake sale Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Call 515-571-2827 for more information.



The Charlie Company 1-133rd picnic will be held Saturday starting at 11:00 a.m. at Harriman's Park. The meal will be served in the shelter houses.


Butler County Kid Fest is Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Butler County Fair Grounds in Allison.



Clarksville Amvets will hold a fish fry Saturday, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Amvet Community Center in Clarksville. Tickets are $9.00 for adults, $4.00 for children 5-12, children under 5 get in free.



The Allison Lions Club will sponsor a free will donation fish fry Saturday, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Allison Amvets Hall at 718 9th St. in Allison.

Greene City wide garage sales will be held Sunday.



The American Legion Post 285 will hold a breakfast buffet Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Parkersburg. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.



St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer will hold a free-will offering soup Luncheon Sunday, 10:30 a.m. till noon in the basement of the church in Latimer. Carryouts will be available.



The Rowan Lions Club will hold their annual chicken barbecue Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Rowan School House.



Headin' Home Quartet will be presenting a free-will offering concert of southern gospel music Sunday, starting at 7:00 p.m. at the Cottage Community Church nine miles south of Iowa Falls on Highway 65.


The Allison Bible Church DVD Series titled, "Revealing the Mysteries of Heaven," by Dr. David Jeremiah will be held Sunday, 7:00 p.m. at the church at 108 Pfaltzgraff St. in Allison. The Topic is "Won't Heaven be Boring?" Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served.

The Iowa Falls Community Blood Drive will be held Monday, noon to 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall at 709 South Oak St. in Iowa Falls.



The Hampton Senior Center will be playing BINGO Monday 1:00 p.m.



The Belmond Community Blood Drive will be held Monday, 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 1207 3rd St. NE in Belmond.



The Rehabilitation Center of Hampton will host Plus One Entertainment Monday, 2:00 p.m.



The Sheffield Area Farmers Market will be open Monday 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Rick's Park in Sheffield.



The Hampton-Dumont High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Informational Evening Monday, at 6:30 p.m. in the high school info tech. All parents of seniors are invited to attend.



The Dumont American Legion Auxiliary will meet Monday, at 7:30 p.m. at the Dumont Legion Hall.
