The Indian Hills Community College women’s wrestling team, coached by Aplington-Parkersburg alumnus Cole Spree, won its second consecutive NJCAA Women’s Wrestling Invitational Championship title Saturday in Council Bluffs. The Warriors finished with a team score of 307.5 and individual champions at 155 and 235.
For his efforts, Spree was presented with the NJCAA’s Women’s Wrestling Coach of the Year award. It was his first time earning the recognition.
