Today the 13th annual Franklin County Farm Bureau “Breakfast Battle” was held at the Fareway store in Hampton. 11 teams participated in today’s program.
A trivia competition was held in which teams could earn some bonuses to take a few seconds off their time. Then the teams were dispersed throughout the store for a shotgun type start, and each team had 60 seconds to prepare once they opened their list of recipes that they needed to shop for, and then the race started. The recipes were for breakfast, lunch, and supper for a family of four.
The winning team was from First Bank Hampton of Josh Lange and Dusty Abbas.
Groceries collected today will be dispersed to local families through Franklin County, West Fork, and La Luz Food Pantries.
