This week the Grundy County Board of Supervisors approved the termination of a 28-E Agreement between the county emergency management commission and the sheriff’s department.
The agreement had called for a sheriff’s deputy to be the director for the commission, but the commission has hired an emergency management services director and no longer requires the services of a sheriff’s deputy.
The Grundy supervisors also approved the use of American Rescue Plan Act funds for one project.
A generator will be relocated from the sheriff’s department to the conservation department office, and with the electrical hookup, will cost $16,561.
