A 67-year-old Goodell man who possessed a firearm while being an illegal drug user entered a guilty plea on April 11th in U-S Federal Court at Sioux City.
Larry Wayne Robbins was convicted of one count of possession of a firearm by an unlawful drug user, marijuana, in violation of federal law.
In a plea agreement, Robbins admitted that he waived a gun at a neighbor in Hancock County while that individual was mowing a ditch about 300 yards east of Robbins’ house. A search warrant later executed at Robbins’ home located guns, ammunition, and marijuana.
A sentencing date has not been set. Robbins faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in federal prison.
