Here’s an update on Earth Day activities going on in Hampton and Franklin County.
Saturday is the last day Hampton residents can drop off trash/yard waste at the compost site from 8am-6:30pm. A Goodwill Donation truck will be at the compost site as well Saturday from 9am-5pm. Goodwill accepts furniture, clothing, and books among other items, but cannot accept large appliances and carpets.
Sunday there will be a group clean-up effort in downtown Hampton from 2-4pm.
Then on Monday, Earth Day, organizations/businesses are being asked to volunteer to help clean up Beed Lake State Park, areas along the Rolling Prairie Bike Trail, and at all the parks in Hampton.
