The Clear Lake Police Department yesterday arrested 28-year-old Benjamin S. Mehmen of Duncan following a report made to law enforcement in late March, of several alleged incidents which took place in Clear Lake between September 2023 and January 2024.
Mehmen was charged with one count of domestic assault with strangulation and four counts of intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
He’s being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail as the investigation continues.
If convicted on all the charges, Mehmen could be sentenced for up to 45 years in prison.
