The Dike-New Hartford boys golf team placed seventh with 369 strokes at an 18-hole tournament at Aplington-Parkersburg Monday. The team leader was Lewis Textor, who placed 15th with 87 strokes. They’ll return to action Tuesday by hosting Aplington-Parkersburg and South Hardin in a triangular at Fox Ridge Golf Course at 4:15.

The DNH/AP girls golf team won a Senior Day quad with 185 strokes. North Tama placed second with 216, Iowa Falls-Alden was third with 218 and Don Bosco was fourth with 233. Seeri Smith earned runner-up honors by shooting a 46, a score that tied with Jadyn Petersen and Keely Kauten. They’ll host a tournament at Legend Trail Golf Club at 4:15 Tuesday.
The boys track & field team was at a quad meet at Waverly-Shell Rock. First place: 4×200-meter relay, 4×400-meter relay. Second place: Cameron Decker – 100-meter dash, Jack Hoehns – 110-meter hurdles, Tyson Bennett – 400-meter hurdles, Devlin Davis – long jump, Jaiden Soppe – high jump, sprint medley relay, shuttle hurdle relay. The Wolverines will return to action Thursday by hosting the Simons Relays.
The girls soccer team lost 1-0 at #8 (1A) Denver. The Cyclones scored the goal in the second half while holding the Wolverines out of the goal the entire night. DNH is now 5-3 and will host Columbus Catholic Tuesday at 5:30.
In other Tuesday action, the girls track & field team will welcome 12 teams for the Lady Simons Relays at 4:45. The 6-0 girls tennis team will play at 2-1 Osage at 4:15.
