A large part of Iowa is under a slight to enhanced risk for severe weather for later today, with the most likely timing between 3-11pm.

Large hail and damaging winds are the primary risks, but a few tornadoes are also possible.

In the broadcast area, southwestern portions of Wright and Franklin Counties, and most of Hardin County, are under an enhanced risk for severe storms for today, while the remainder of the local area is under a slight risk.

An enhanced risk means numerous severe storms are possible, including some longer lived severe storms, with a few intense storms possible.
