Five Local Conference Titles Earned at NCC Boys Track and Field Meet

The North Central Conference boys track and field meet in Clarion on Thursday was highlighted by great relay times and standout individual performances by area seniors at final conference meet.

Iowa Falls-Alden placed 4th with 105 points. The Cadets shuttle hurdle relay team of Jaden Damiano, Andon Barrick, Carter Weaver, Ray Morgan Jr. won the conference title in 59.73. Jaden Damiano individually had a memorable night with three NCC titles in the 100m (10.88), 400m hurdles (53.3),and the 110m hurdles with a new NCC and state record time of 13.68. Runners-up included Ray Morgan Jr. in the 110m hurdles and the 4x800m relay.

HD-CAL placed 6th with 68 points. The Bulldog conference champion was the 4x200m relay team of Gage Plagge, Tate Murray, Carson Hisler and Gavin Meader in 1:30.67. In second place was Gage Plagge in the long jump and Gavin Meader was third in the 100m. 

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows placed 8th.

Up next are the state qualifying meets on Thursday, May 9th.
