The Iowa Falls-Alden girls and boys golf teams took the course in separate North Central Conference tournaments on Monday. The IFA girls placed 4th with a 439 at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone. Olivia French tied for 3rd with a 95 and received NCC all-conference honors. The Cadet boys were 5th with a 340. Kale Kalous tied for 8th place and earned NCC all-conference honors for a second straight year.
The IFA soccer teams split matches against Webster City on Monday. The #12(2A) Cadet girls won 8-1 at Webster City behind two goals apiece by Demi Beaubien and Abbie Andrews to rise to 10-2 overall. The boys with a penalty kick goal by Josh Lozano fell 8-1 at home to the #6(2A) and undefeated Lynx to move to 2-10.
The IFA girls have a quick turnaround with a non-conference match Tuesday at 10-4 Dike-New Hartford at 5:30 p.m. The boys will be at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Thursday.
