Wednesday, at around 5:00 p.m. the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department was called out on the report of a single-vehicle accident along 100th Street, west of Interstate 35, northeast of Dows.
Franklin County Sheriff Aaron Dodd tells Radio on the Go News a 2015 Chevrolet vehicle, driven by Paul Nelson of Cambridge, Minnesota was traveling along 100th Street when it left the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle rolled several times after entering the ditch.
Nelson was transported to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries. Some road signs and electrical service equipment were also damaged as a result of the accident.
Assisting at the scene were the Wright County Sheriff’s Department, West Franklin EMS Service and Franklin General EMS.
