Wednesday night the Aplington City Council approved setting the salaries and wages for the city employees for the fiscal year beginning July 1st with an increase of 3-point-5 percent.
The Aplington council approved new playground equipment for the park from Boland Recreation, and approved the construction of a deck and patio doors for the shelter house at the park.
And the Aplington City Council awarded the street repair bid to Heartland Asphalt for $71,186.
