Yesterday about 10am the Hansell Fire Department was called out on the report of a two story house on fire at 12-64 Timber Avenue south of the city. No injuries reported.
Upon arrival, firefighters found flames shooting out the windows, and one of the floors had collapsed.
The house is considered to be a total loss, the cause is under investigation.
Firefighters were on the scene for two hours. Assisting agencies were the fire departments from Geneva and Hampton, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, and FGH Ambulance.
