Boys golf district tournaments will be held Monday, and some local teams and individuals will have the opportunity to advance to the state tournament.
The 2A district at Dike-New Hartford has been rescheduled to Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Locally, that district includes the Wolverines, Aplington-Parkersburg and Ashtin Willms of Belmond-Klemme.
Grundy Center will look to punch their ticket back to the state tournament. They’ll compete at the 2A district at Iowa City Regina at Pleasant Valley Golf Course. The Spartans are coming off a sectional title last week at Roland-Story, where they shot a 297. The meet will start at 9:00 a.m.
In Class 1A, West Fork will be at the district at Willow Creek Golf Course in Le Mars, hosted by Gehlen Catholic. The Warhawks won the St. Edmond sectional with a 325. The meet will start at 10:00 a.m.
The 1A sectional at Newman Catholic, which will include North Butler, will be Tuesday as originally scheduled.
The top two teams, plus the third place team if the host places first or second, will advance to the state tournament. The top two individuals, plus ties, from non-qualifying teams will also advance to the state tournament.
