Boys golf district tournaments will continue Tuesday.
Dike-New Hartford will host a 2A district at Fox Ridge Golf Course, a meet that was originally scheduled for Monday. The Wolverines placed third with a 335 at last week’s sectional at Columbus Catholic, but advanced because the hosts placed first. Aplington-Parkersburg won the sectional title at North Fayette Valley with a 297, where Jace Pruisner was the medalist with a 69. Belmond-Klemme’s Ashtin Willms is an individual qualifier after he tied for the win at the Columbus sectional. The meet will start at 1:00 p.m.
North Butler will be at the 1A sectional at Highland Park Golf Course in Mason City, hosted by Newman Catholic. The Bearcats are coming off a second place finish at the Lake Mills sectional, where they scored a 340. Nolan Reser tied for runner-up honors with an 81. The meet will start at 10:00 a.m.
The top two teams, plus the third place team if the host places first or second, will advance to the state tournament. The top two individuals, plus ties, from non-qualifying teams will also advance to the state tournament.
