The Grundy Center boys golf team is headed back to the state tournament, with a chance to defend last year’s Class 2A championship.
The Spartans won Monday’s district meet at Iowa City Regina with 315 strokes. Judd Jirovsky was the runner-up with a 69. The 2A state tournament will be at Coldwater Golf Links in Ames, beginning on Monday, May 20.
West Fork competed at the 1A district in Le Mars, and placed seventh with a 345. No Warhawk individuals advanced to the state tournament, ending their season.
