IFA Girls Soccer Wins Finale, Boys Soccer Enters Postseason

The Iowa Falls-Alden girls soccer team won 6-0 at Wright County in their regular season finale on Monday. With the win the Cadets clinched a share of the North Central Conference crown with Garner-Hayfield-Ventura. This was the Cadets third NCC title in a row. IFA ends the regular season 11-5 overall and will have a week to prepare for Class 2A Region 1 postseason opener against Wright County or Central Iowa United on May 21. 

The IFA boys soccer team takes the field for postseason play as they host Fort Dodge in Class 3A Substate 7 first round on Tuesday. The Cadets enter at 3-10 to face the Dodgers for first time in soccer in Bound era. Senior Nico Ceron leads the team with eight goals. At goalkeeper junior Logan Mourlam has 50 saves defending a save percentage of 69.4%. 

The winner will advance to take on #1-seed Des Moines Hoover. The match will air on 104.9 KLMJ, pregame at 6:50 p.m. followed by the first whistle at 7:00 p.m. in Iowa Falls.
