A 30-year-old Plymouth woman was sentenced Monday in Cerro Gordo County District Court on the charges of child endangerment resulting in death and for child endangerment resulting in serious injury.

Allyssa Larsen was convicted by a jury in February after she was alleged by the state to have knowingly created a substantial risk to a pair of three month old children by deprivation of proper nutrition. That resulted in late February of 2021 in the death of one of the children, while the other child was near death.

Larsen was sentenced for up to 50 years in prison.
