Bruce Dall, who announced his resignation as the head coach of the Dike-New Hartford girls basketball team last week, has been named the head coach of the Cedar Rapids Prairie girls basketball team.
According to a press release, the hire is pending board approval.
Dall spent 14 seasons at Dike-New Hartford, where he won four consecutive state championships and made seven consecutive state tournament appearances. He’s won five state titles, including one at AGWSR.
Dall is a member of the Iowa Girls Coaches Association Basketball Hall of Fame. Earlier this year, he was named a finalist for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association’s National Coach of the Year award.
Prairie is coming off a 16-5 season where they advanced to a 5A regional final. The top four scorers are expected to return next year.
Dall will replace Kenyon Murray, a former Iowa Basketball player and father of NBA players Keegan and Kris Murray, who announced his resignation after last season.
