Last night the Belmond-Klemme School Board approved a settlement agreement and release with Adam Anthony, who this past December had filed a civil lawsuit in Wright County District Court against the school district, alleging disability discrimination and retaliation, and for First Amendment retaliation.
As part of the settlement, the B-K district does not admit to any wrongdoing, but will make total payments of 40-thousand dollars to Anthony.
In other business, the Belmond-Klemme School Board approved teacher leadership assignments, the drivers education contract and wage, accepted the resignation of Mark Young as the elementary school principal, and approved to re-issue support staff contracts.
