The Sheffield City Council this week met with Jeff Rooney from the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Department who discussed details about a new fire station.
There was discussion on where the new fire station location should be. Locations discussed were the hayfield, land out by the new Bintown Daycare facility, or on the northeast corner by Reborn in a Barn.
Rooney says the fire department would like to be off of the main street as it does get busy there, and with vehicles parking or coming/going, they can’t get their fire equipment in and out safely and efficiently.
No decisions were made by the Sheffield City Council.
