A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for northern Grundy, northern Hardin, southern Butler, southern Franklin, and southeastern Wright County until 9:15am today.
Remember, turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
The entire broadcast area is under a Flood Watch until this evening as excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Finally, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Hardin and Grundy Counties in the broadcast area until 1pm today.
Scattered damaging winds are possible with isolated significant gusts up to 75 miles per hour, isolated large hail events to 1-point-5 inches in diameter possible, and a tornado or two may occur as well.
