Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds issued a disaster emergency proclamation yesterday for 17 additional counties in response to the severe storms that occurred on Tuesday.
The governor’s proclamation allows state resources to be utilized to respond to and recover from the effects of this severe weather and activates the Iowa Individual Assistance Grant Program and Disaster Case Advocacy Program.
The 17 counties include Butler, Franklin, and Hancock.
A disaster proclamation was previously issued Tuesday for 15 counties, including Hardin.
