Grundy Center senior Tanner Laube finished his career with a win, placing third at the 1A state singles & doubles tournament at Byrnes Park Thursday.
Laube began his day in the semifinals against #2-seed Caden Branum of Decorah, where he fell 7-6, 6-0. In the third place match, he defeated Landon Murch of North Polk 7-6, 6-2.
Laube went 20-3 this season, with all his matches happening at #1 singles for the Spartans.
