It’s been a very busy week here at KLMJ. The Wheel of Beef was a success! Many people were awarded amazing prizes from our sponsors. It was fun hearing everyone’s best Moo! Also seems like it’s been non stop rain and thunderstorms in the area. It came on quick. Before I came to work, I walked my dog at about 4:30am and it was barely sprinkling. As soon as I was ready to leave, it was a down pour. I drove to the station safely and slowly. Not soon after, we experienced a huge increase of rain and wind. Then we went off air. Shawn came to the rescue. He quickly worked to get us back on air. I was planning on doing another round of Wheel of Beef in the 6am hour but cancelled due to the weather related updates taking precedent. Since we had so much rain in such a short time and has been this way for a week, there is major flooding in certain areas.
Well, I was hoping to go golfing this weekend with my sister, dad, and husband. But by the looks of the forecast for the weekend, that might not happen. Id rather change plans and if we have to stay inside and have some cocktails at home so be it. I’m not one to risk it like that one guy in Caddy Shack. I hope you all enjoy your weekend. 🙂
