The #8-seed Dike-New Hartford girls soccer team earned a 1-0 win over #1-seed Davenport Assumption in a Class 1A quarterfinal Tuesday at Cownie Soccer Complex. Gentry Swarts found an opening and scored a long goal with 4:53 left in the first half, and the defense deflected each Assumption shot in the second half to pull off the win. After recording their first state tournament win in program history, the Wolverines will face #4-seed Nevada in a semifinal Thursday at 10:00 a.m. on Field 9. That game will air on 99 The Wave.
