The Iowa Falls-Alden softball and baseball teams begin the week in non-conference action defending their home field against Nevada.
The 1-1 IFA softball team will face the Cubs for the first time since 2022. The Cadets during opening week fell to #9(2A) South Hardin and won over West Fork. Cidni Phipps in the circle leads with a 3.15 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 13 ⅓ innings pitched.
The 0-1-1 IFA baseball team looks for their first win over the Cubs since 2017. The Cadets in early action this season had their game against South Hardin suspended and lost to West Fork. Brody McNeal has the top stats on the mound so far with a 4.85 ERA and 7 strikeouts in 4 1⁄3 innings.
First pitch for both games is at 7:30 p.m. in Iowa Falls.
