
The #8-seed Dike-New Hartford girls soccer team came up short in a defensive battle with #4-seed Nevada, falling 1-0 in a Class 1A semifinal at Cownie Soccer Complex Thursday. Nevada scored on a header goal with 8:32 left in the second half, and the Wolverines couldn’t string together the possessions to score late. The season ends at 16-5 overall, and it was the deepest postseason run in program history.
