Saturday is the deadline for eligible Iowa farm owners to apply for Century or Heritage Farm recognition.
The program, which was created in partnership by the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation, honors families who have owned their farms for 100 and 150 years, respectively.
The completed applications must be postmarked or received by the state ag department by Saturday, in order to be included in the August 15th ceremony during this year’s Iowa State Fair.
