Maleah Wessels was crowned Miss Aplington during the Aplington Days coronation Monday night. Maleah is the daughter of Dallas and Marissa Wessels. First runner-up was Kenedie Kolder and the second runner-up and Miss Congeniality was Ella Buttjer.
This year’s Lil Miss and Mister Aplington were Ella Kreimeyer and Max Klahsen, respectively.
The 2024 citizen of the year was awarded to Aplington Mayor, Jason Mehmen.
Aplington Days conclude Tuesday with the big parade at 6:30 p.m. with entertainment to follow.
