This week Wright County Engineer Adam Clemons informed the board of supervisors of an ongoing issue that needs to be resolved.

“When we have people that blow their grass onto gravel roads, it does create a problem for us. The guys are blading, it will start to make huge clumps. And this clump that I saw was almost up to the windows on the cab of the truck. So, yes. And that is jam packed with gravel. So when it’s jam packed with gravel and we have to punt it off, we’re losing it. We’re losing all that route. We appreciate people not blowing their grass onto the roadway.”

Iowa has over 66-thousand total miles of gravel roads across the state.
