The popular hot sauce Sriracha, made of chili peppers, vinegar, salt & sugar halted production a few months ago.  The reason being the peppers they use were still too green.  Huy Fong Foods first shortage was in 2020.  But it was in 2016 when Huy Fong Foods ended relationship with Underwood Ranch.  Underwood Ranch famously grew the peppers and created the Sriracha that we know today.  Some fans have detected a difference in flavor, color and smell.  The battle started when a harvest ended up being shorter than expected.  Huy Fong sued Underwood Ranch and Underwood Ranch counter-sued for breach of contract.  After splitting ties, Underwood Ranch has now released it’s own hot sauce.  Customers have stated it tastes more like the original they have grown to love.  So next time you are going to grab a bottle of hot sauce, you might want to switch your brand.
