The Allison City Council this week discussed the properties that were sent a certified letter and had not yet followed through with their obligation to have the property cleaned up by the June 6th deadline.
It was decided that the residents who had not talked to the city with a plan and had not cleaned up their properties will be sent a fine of $200 and given an additional week to clean the property up.
If the property is still not cleaned up after the week, the City of Allison will hire someone to come in and clean up the properties, and the bill will be assessed to the property owner’s property taxes.
