The Aplington-Parkersburg baseball team will host Nashua-Plainfield in a non-conference game Tuesday. The teams will meet for the third straight season; the Huskies won by one in both 2023 and 2022.
AP (9-5, 5-4 NICL-C) will look to bounce back from a 6-3 loss at Waterloo Columbus Thursday, where they gave up a 3-0 lead when the Sailors scored six unanswered. It’ll be the first of two chances for tuneups this week before returning to NICL-Central play in a pivotal game with Hudson Thursday.
The Huskies (8-6, 6-5 TOI-E) have lost two straight, including Monday’s 8-2 loss at Central Springs. Dawson Glaser and Tucker Franzen each bat over .400 to lead the team.
The first pitch will be at 7:00 p.m.
