The Mason City Municipal Airport will hold a Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the new Commercial Airport Terminal on July 24th at 11am.
The new 23-thousand square foot facility will replace the existing terminal and is located next to it. The new terminal will provide expanded space for passengers, security screening, and baggage handling.
Also included in the project is an expanded vehicle parking lot and larger aircraft parking apron.
The total program budget for this project was about 18-million dollars, of which 15-million was provided by grants from the Federal Aviation Administration, with the remainder provided by the City of Mason City.
