The IGHSAU has released softball regional postseason brackets. The postseason will begin Monday, July 8.
In 1A Region 2, AGWSR will play a first round game at Northwood-Kensett. The winner will advance to play top-seeded St. Edmond. In the opposite half of the region, North Butler will host a first round game against Rockford, the winner of which will play at #2-seed Newman Catholic.
Clarksville is the #2-seed in 1A Region 5, and will host the winner of North Tama at Janesville in a quarterfinal.
Several local teams are in 2A Region 6. In the first round, Grundy Center will play at South Hamilton, with the winner playing at Alburnett. Belmond-Klemme will host Lake Mills in the other first round game, the winner of which will advance to play at Hudson. In the quarterfinals, Dike-New Hartford will host Aplington-Parkersburg and West Fork will host South Hardin.
In 3A Region 4, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows will play a first round game at top-seeded Benton.
In 3A Region 5, Hampton-Dumont-CAL will play at Forest City and Iowa Falls-Alden will be at West Marshall in the first round.
