This week the Iowa Governor’s Volunteer Awards were presented during a ceremony at Ankeny High School. The 2024 Group Winners included the CAL Elementary Service-Learning Project in Latimer, Dee Schrodt and Perry Green as Santa and Mrs. Claus in Belmond, and the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.
Individual winners included Todd Button, Toni Nederhoff, and John Teske all from Eldora.
The Grundy County Memorial Hospital was honored in the Group Winners for length of service category, while the length of service individual winners included Denise Akkerman of Holland.
