Two Clarion residents were injured Saturday night in a single-vehicle accident in Wright County.

The Iowa State Patrol says just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday, a 2014 Toyota Camry, driven by 19-year-old Yefri Anthony Lopez of Clarion, was traveling northbound on county road R33, west of Clarion, when his vehicle veered off the roadway into the east ditch, rolled, and came to rest on the driver side.

Lopez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle, 25-year-old Joel Cifuentes also of Clarion, was trapped in the passenger seat.

Both Lopez and Cifuentes were transported to hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
