Clarksville Softball splits games at Don Bosco Tournament

The #12 (1A) Clarksville softball team went 1-1 at Saturday’s tournament at Don Bosco, which was shortened to one day after Friday’s games were cancelled. The Indians fell to Hudson 9-6 and defeated Cascade 12-0 in six innings.

Against Hudson, the Indians scored twice each in the first, third and fifth innings. The Pirates scored two in the first and took a 3-2 lead in the second. Trailing 6-5 entering the sixth, Hudson scored four more runs to complete the win. Claire Lodge was 4-for-4 with three runs and a triple.

Against Cascade, the Indians scored once each in the first, third and fifth innings. They scored three in the fourth and six in the sixth to end the game early. Hannah Wangsness had three hits and four RBIs. Clarksville (17-8) will return to action Tuesday at Roland-Story.
