According to Iowa’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN site, Winnebago Industries is closing its plant that makes camper vans in Charles City, impacting 36 employees.
The notice says the plant will close September 1st, and is the smaller of two Winnebago facilities in Charles City.
This manufacturing process will be moved from Charles City to Lake Mills.
The 204-thousand square foot manufacturing plant constructed over 20 years ago in Charles City will remain open.
