“It’s just an unfortunate situation for both teams, a popup storm that came out of nowhere and dumped a ton of rain that we weren’t expecting,” says Guerrero. “Another day to reflect and hopefully get ourselves ready. It’ll be a game that, their is a lot of areas that they play really well. We will have to play one our best games to compete and our girls are ready and excited for the opportunity whenever it will be.”

Newman Catholic (27-5) received a first round bye. Senior Liz Kruckenberg captains the offense with .442 avg and 42 runs scored. Sophomore Sami Kruckenberg rules the circle for the Knights with 1.30 ERA and 221 strikeouts.
