A former North Iowa State Senator has been hired by the Clean Grid Alliance as a Regional Policy Manager.

Waylon Brown of Osage resigned last week, and in his new position, will collaborate with state legislative and executive branch leadership, utility commissions, trade associations, clean energy developers, and regional grid operators to advance policies.

Priorities will include improvements to transmission infrastructure, streamlined siting and permitting processes, and increased large scale power generation throughout the alliance’s footprint.

The Clean Grid Alliance is based in St. Paul, Minnesota.
