Yesterday’s severe thunderstorms caused some damage in the broadcast area including to the Alden Public Library when a tree fell down causing damage to the patio.
The Alden library is scheduled to be open today, but the patio will be closed until further notice.
Hardin County Emergency Management Coordinator Thomas Craighton tells Radio on the Go News that he has on video a tornado that destroyed two hog confinement buildings just northwest of Eldora, but the animals survived.
Craighton adds multiple trees were also damaged across Hardin County.
In addition, near 1 inch diameter hail was reported northwest of New Hartford.
No injuries have been reported.
