The West Fork softball team has learned its state tournament draw after the IGHSAU released state tournament brackets Tuesday night.
The Warhawks are the #8-seed, and will play #1-seed and reigning Class 2A runner-up Van Meter in the quarterfinals Tuesday, July 23 at 12:15 p.m. Van Meter is 40-1, with the only loss happening in May to state tournament regular Winterset.
Teams that win their quarterfinal games are guaranteed two more games, with the opportunity to play for third place or higher. Teams that lose their quarterfinal games will finish their season with a consolation game Wednesday.
West Fork state tournament games will air on 104.9 KLMJ.
