Yesterday about 4:15pm the Iowa State Patrol was called out on the report of a four vehicle accident in the westbound lane of Highway 175 one half mile east of Grundy Center.

A Ford Edge driven by 45-year-old Amy Jo Morris of Grundy Center was traveling westbound on 175 when she approached a construction zone where several vehicles were stopped. A chain reaction crash then took place as Morris ran into the back of a Ford Edge driven by 62-year-old Katherine Dvorak of Voorhies.

Dvorak then struck a Chevy Colorado driven by 63-year-old Randall James Hager of Grundy Center, who then struck a Ford Expedition driven by 49-year-old Michael Kuhn of Greeley, Colorado.

Morris, Dvorak, and a 14-year-old, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, were transported to area hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.
