Monday night the Hampton City Council held a workshop meeting and received information from public works director Doug Tarr regarding parking on the 400 block of 4th Avenue Southeast near South Side School.
Tarr has met with the construction company putting in the new parking lot at South Side, and for safety reasons, feels it would be beneficial to have no parking on the south side of the 400 block of 4th Avenue Southeast.
Tarr and Hampton Police Chief Mark Morrison will meet with the school staff for further clarification on the bus routes and input.
