Wednesday at 6:12 p.m. the Iowa State Patrol was called out on the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident along Plymouth Road in Mason City.
A 2004 GMC Envoy, driven by 17-year-old Jade Danielle Quam of Mason City, was traveling southbound on Plymouth Road when it struck a pedestrian in the 1500 block.
The pedestrian was transported to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center but later died. She’s been identified as 42-year-old Jennifer Dawn Buls-Vrba of Mason City.
The accident remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene were the Mason City Police Department, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department and Mason City Fire Department.
