Thursday night the Hampton City Council heard from Mayor Steve Birdsall that he will begin to preside over meetings again beginning with the next council workshop meeting set for August 5th.
Birdsall has been recovering from a stroke that took place in April, and thanked mayor pro-tem Jim Davies for stepping in during that time.
In other business, the Hampton City Council approved a Professional Service Proposal with ISG, Incorporated for #4 and #6 1st Street Northwest, and approved an Engineering Services Agreement amendment for the construction phase of the ARPA water main project with V & K Engineering.
